Job Description Summary

The Radiation Therapist II works under the direction of the Radiation Therapist III, Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physics team to carry out specialized procedure that focus on delivering high doses of radiation through the means of treatment catheters inserted into a specified body region. Apply ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the special care required for patients of all age groups. Pre-treatment preparation of all cases; to include Daily Treatment, CT Simulation, Brachy Therapy, Clinical Simulation, and Emergency Simulation. Accurate delivery of prescribed planned course of radiation.

Additional Job Description

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 2-4 years Current state licensure required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
