Job Description
I. Job Summary
Schedules radiation procedures and delivers prescribed daily dosage of radiation to patients. Assists with dosimetry, as needed.
II. Minimum Qualifications:
A Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy, ARRT registration, SC license and one year of experience in radiation oncology. Prefer experience with patients 18 years of age and older.
III. Work Environment:
Works primarily in an office setting. Subject to equipment with moving mechanical parts. Potential for exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
IV. Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
V. Financial Responsibilities:
None.
VI. Essential Functions:
1. Educates patient on radiation oncology process.
2. Delivers prescribed daily prescription of radiation to patients.
3. Documents treatment details according to policy.
4. Positions immobilization devices as necessary.
5. Assembles portal vision imaging equipment as needed to perform treatment.
6. Monitors dosimetry measurements and calculation for accuracy, as needed.
7. Performs other miscellaneous and related duties as assigned.
