Progressive Care provides an opportunity to develop and strengthen skills that can support your nursing career throughout MUSC Health.

As a Progressive Care RN, you will care for patients who require closer monitoring and more complex nursing care while developing experience in:

• Advanced patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Neurological and acute-care nursing
• Recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Interdisciplinary care coordination
• Patient and family education
• Leadership, delegation, and teamwork
• Evidence-based nursing practice

You'll be supported by a team committed to collaboration, professional growth, and delivering exceptional care.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse, you will use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide safe, compassionate, individualized care.

You will:

• Deliver patient- and family-centered nursing care
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Educate and support patients and families
• Lead and support assigned care team members
• Promote a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment
• Participate in shared governance and professional practice initiatives
• Use critical thinking and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes
