Job Description

As a Patient Access Registrar, you are more than the first point of contact—you are an important part of creating a welcoming, compassionate experience for patients and families navigating their cancer care journey. You’ll combine exceptional customer service with accuracy and efficiency to ensure patients are registered correctly and prepared for their visit.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and register patients in a timely, courteous, and compassionate manner, creating a positive first impression.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and identification to ensure accurate registration.
  • Obtain required patient signatures and copies of insurance cards and identification.
  • Collect deductibles, co-insurance, and other applicable patient payments with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for patients and families, helping them navigate the front-end registration process.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while handling sensitive patient and financial information.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support a smooth, coordinated patient experience.

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow business office policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • One year of office experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer-service environment, with regular contact with the general public.
