Job Description/Summary: The Respiratory Therapist at MUSC Midlands provides advanced respiratory care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions. This role involves performing diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Additional Job Description
Education: AAS in Respiratory Care from an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners of S.C.
Work Experience: > or =2 years
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
