Job Description Summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina.

Under the supervision of the School Therapy Manager, the School Behavioral Health (BH) Coordinator works as both part of the clinical team and as part of the school team to coordinate the provision of services by the telehealth provider. This position facilitates screening assessments, referral management, family contact, and telehealth equipment.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the School Therapy Manager, the School Behavioral Health (BH) Coordinator works as both part of the clinical team and as part of the school team to coordinate the provision of services by the telehealth provider.  This position facilitates screening assessments, referral management, family contact, and telehealth equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or related degree.  One year post graduate professional social work experience preferred.  MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.  Demonstrates ability to collaborate in a positive, professional manner with medical professionals.  Requires ability to work in a thorough but efficient manner. This position will be posted in schools in the Charleston tri-county area.
