Job Description Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate, plan, and implement therapy programs for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments across various settings, including outpatient, acute, and inpatient rehabilitation. They will provide preventive, corrective, and restorative speech therapy using a broad range of techniques. The SLP will teach and adapt these practices for patients, families, and other professional and paraprofessional personnel, promoting optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities include performing initial assessments, developing and adjusting treatment plans, administering therapeutic exercises and activities, and supervising SLP and other students. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and demonstrating consistent attendance and reliability. The SLP will stay current with evidence-based practices and adhere to institutional policies, guidelines, and protocols to provide the highest standard of care.Entity
