Job Description
Job Purpose: The Administrative Coordinator I will report to Chief of Staff and the Division Chief of the PM&R division as (s)he supports the department’s administrative, academic, and clinical missions.
Administrative Operations: Coordinate all administrative activities for the Chief for the division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Ability to independently respond and react to incoming correspondence and communication and take appropriate proactive action on behalf of the Chair/Chief. 30%
Coordinate completion of annual report, contacts and evaluations for faculty, and other documents as determined by the Division Chief. Provide administrative support to the Division Chief/Administrator in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications whether academic or financial in nature including support in development of agendas for meetings and proposals. Coordinate projects and support activities for Division Chief/Administrator in his leadership role. Executive/administrative support for Division Chief’s role at national level conferences. 25%
Clinical/Surgical Practice: Create, maintain, and distribute monthly attending call schedule ensuring coverage is in place for PM&R Division; Collaborate with Encompass Health Leadership to create, maintain, and disperse call schedule for our PM&R division. Communicate all changes to department in a timely manner. Ensure call is accurately recorded in Simon. Maintain MUSC PM&R Consult schedule in Simon. 20%
Faculty Administrative Support: Utilize Chief’s discretion in approving faculty leave request and clinic cancellation requests. Maintain faculty leave calendar which is widely used for clinical operations; communicate effectively with University Press to order and design business cards for faculty and advanced practice providers; provide full administrative clinical support by assisting and facilitating with credentialing maintenance, faxing, scanning, attorney requests, and FMLA/Disability paperwork. 20%

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and four years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree and two years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
