Job Description Summary

The MUSC Wellness Center is looking to add a Certified Personal Trainer to the team! This person will provide individualized fitness programming, instruction, and support to clients of all fitness levels. This role includes conducting assessments, designing goal-driven workouts, and ensuring a safe and motivating training environment. An accredited personal training certification (e.g., ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ACE, etc.) is required.

Job Description

- Design and deliver safe, effective, and individualized workout programs based on client goals, limitations, and preferences. - 30%

- Conduct initial consultations and fitness assessments. - 15%

- Assist with instructing small group training, Clinical Exercise Programs, or Group Exercise classes as needed. - 15%

- Maintain appropriate documentation of sessions and client progress. Track session usage and schedule appointments. - 15%

- Attend staff meetings, review weekly internal communications, participate in staff development workshops and continuing education, and collaborate with fellow trainers and staff to support departmental initiatives. - 15%

- Create a welcoming and supportive environment for all members and clients. Actively engage with members on the floor to offer guidance, answer questions, and promote services. - 10%
