Job Description Summary

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a faculty member/attending to provide clinical services within our MUSC Main Emergency Psychiatry Services (Dpod and EmPATH) (50%), and tele psych (50%) services to Acute Care Unit at MUSC Florence Hugh and Jean Leatherman Behavioral Health Pavilion.

The candidate will be a faculty member of the Psychiatry Hospitalists Division and provide clinical services on campus within emergency psychiatry services (Dpod and EmPATH units). Candidates will provide supervision for students, residents, and fellows as part of their clinical responsibilities when appropriate. The candidate will also work with an APP at MUSC Florence Hugh and Jean Leatherman Behavioral Health Pavilion to round (via tele psych) on new patients and discharges within the Acute Care Unit (11 bed unit) on a daily basis.

Job Summary

The candidate will be a faculty member of the Psychiatry Hospitalists Division and provide clinical services on campus within emergency psychiatry services (Dpod and EmPATH units). Candidates will provide supervision for students, residents, and fellows as part of their clinical responsibilities when appropriate. The candidate will also work with an APP at MUSC Florence Hugh and Jean Leatherman Behavioral Health Pavilion to round (via tele psych) on new patients and discharges within the Acute Care Unit (11 bed unit) on a daily basis.

The candidate will also be required to cover some night calls and weekend coverage at MUSC Florence Hugh and Jean Leatherman Behavioral Health Pavilion.

The candidate must be a ACGME trained psychiatrist (BE/BC) with the ability to hold an unrestricted license to practice in South Carolina.

M.D, Psychiatry or related field.

Salary

Will be based upon education and experience.
