Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatrician to start a new practice on Clements Ferry Road between Daniel Island and Mt. Pleasant as the lead physician.  This clinical site will eventually have 2 pediatricians and will share some resources with the current MUSC practice on Daniel Island.  The provider will be a full member of the Division of General Pediatrics, sharing newborn and circumcision weekend and holiday coverage at the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Ideal Candidates:

• MD/DO degree
• Board Certified or Eligible by the ABP
• Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
• Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
• Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex children
• Proficient in seeing patients in the outpatient setting including health maintenance and sick visits
• Comfort with management of Level I newborns in the hospital
• Must be able to perform or willing to learn to perform newborn circumcisions
