Job Description Summary

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine at The Medical University of South Carolina is recruiting a physician‐scientist in basic, translational, or clinical research relating to pulmonary and critical care diseases with emphasis is in Sarcoidosis. We are looking for a talented investigator who will be able to actively contribute to our expanding portfolio of research and engage in our clinical mission. Available resources within the Division include a robust clinical trials unit and new state of the art laboratory facilities. The candidate will have the ability to serve as the Dave Savula Endowed Chair for Sarcoidosis Research.

Potential collaborations with Pulmonary faculty or other Departments at MUSC will be recognized as additional strengths. MUSC is located in Charleston, SC, a city noted for its historical, cultural and recreational attractions. Applicants must have a MD, MD/PhD or equivalent and have demonstrated the ability or future potential to lead an independent research program with high likelihood of sustained extramural funding. In special circumstances, applicants with PhD only may be considered. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
