The Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for the role of Division Director – Master of Health Administration (MHA) Hybrid Track. This is a full-time faculty appointment with administrative responsibilities on the academic educator track (tenure-eligible), with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Division Director serves as the academic and operational leader of MUSC’s MHA program hybrid track, which combines weekly in-person instruction on campus in Charleston, South Carolina on Mondays with structured asynchronous and applied learning activities throughout the remainder of the week. Consistent on-campus presence on Mondays is a core requirement of this role to support instruction, faculty coordination, student engagement, and program administration.

This position requires a leader who is instructionally embedded, maintains an active teaching presence, and is directly engaged in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the on-campus hybrid learning experience. The Division Director is responsible for ensuring seamless integration between face-to-face and online components of the curriculum, fostering a cohesive and high-quality student experience aligned with competency-based education principles.

Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the Charleston, SC area, or otherwise demonstrate the ability to reliably meet weekly on-campus obligations. This role is well-suited for a leader who values in-person engagement, thrives in a structured hybrid environment, and is energized by direct interaction with students, faculty, and healthcare industry partners.
