Job Description Summary
The Burn Behavioral Health (BBH) Program is seeking a part time Program Assistant to work within the South Carolina Burn Center, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Department of Surgery at MUSC. The BBH serves patients who require hospitalization after presenting to acute care medical emergency department and burn center settings for the treatment of burn injuries. The Program Assistant would provide program support in clinical, administrative, and quality improvement/research efforts being conducted. The services are provided in a stepped-care format spanning inpatient to outpatient continuum. The employee will support day-to-day program operations, conduct patient screenings, scheduling, and referrals, and assist with the management of a clinical database. The employee will be responsible for initial orientation and onboarding trainings of program trainees and volunteers. The employee will assist the program director with program implementation efforts, as needed.Entity

Guidelines and Supervision: Clinical/Administration/Program Development: Employee will receive active, ongoing mentorship and supervision from the Program Director. Employee will have regular correspondence with the burn team and will have the option to attend weekly multidisciplinary burn rounds to discuss patients’ status, as needed.
Work Environment: It is likely that the employee will occupy a designated workstation that is located in an office area shared by several employees. Employee will likely work remotely and in the burn clinic/at the hospital when not in the office.

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
