Job Description Summary
The Department of Public Health Sciences at The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Research Program Coordinator under the general supervision of the principle investigator. In collaboration with the PI and research team, the incumbent with coordinate the scientific implementation of research protocols for multiple complex research projects focused on the epidemiology, prevention, and control of genitourinary cancers. The candidate will be responsible for conducting research activities such as: screening electronic medical records for patients meeting eligibility criteria, prepare and code and enter data and compiling and managing all participant recruitment and enrollment data using REDCap. The role requires regular interaction with research team members including faculty and clinical investigators, clinical coordinators, clinical staff, and clinical fellows and residents. Experience with data management such as REDCap is preferred. The candidate will also be responsible for administrative tasks, such as: developing and maintaining forms, assisting with grant materials, communicating with the IRB, and assisting the PI and the other members of the research team with any lab-related tasks that arise. Must be flexible and can think creatively, as well as demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The candidate must have dependable transportation for travel.Entity

Job Description
Job Duties:
30% - Assist with recruiting study participants and ensure that all study procedures are completed per protocol. Provides routine updates on status of research activities in team meetings.
30% - Records and compiles information related to patient screening and enrollment data. Codes data accordingly to research specifications. Uses a variety of technological devices to input and retrieve data or generate reports.
15% - Maintain regulatory documents and communication with IRB and electronic record keeping.
15% - Assists in designing, developing, and modifying research procedures, or survey instruments in REDCap or a similar database. May assist research and support staff.
5% - Processes and summarizes data using scientific or statistical techniques. Assists in data interpretation and analyses.
5% - Performs additional functions incidental to research activities.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience.
