The ability to work independently and multi-task is crucial as well as collaborate with others both in and outside of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science.
Job Duties:
ACGME Residency Program Management:
Management, coordination, and supervision of daily operation of the Radiology Program and Radiology Residents. These duties are ongoing throughout the residents’ 4-5 years of training and include all requirements related to maintaining ACGME accreditation and good standing with MUSC GME office as well as requirements for the American Board of Radiology, for board certification requirements. The responsibilities include all DR residents and IR Integrated resident during R1-3 years (total of 50 residents). Work closely with administrative coordinator to complete all required scheduled training, documentation, submissions to requisite agencies and maintain files for official tracking and future verifications.

Residency Recruitment:
Manage, coordinate, schedule all activities related to annual residency recruitment process. This includes working with recruitment application, software, websites.

Administrative Coordination:
Administration, coordination, and supervision of the overall education initiative for the Department of Radiology. Mentor and training for sub-specialty coordinators on all aspects of individual training program. Assist in daily operation as required. Assist coordinators and directors with implementation of any new, updated ACGME requirements. Share successful aspects of the core program to allow more continuity between all programs. Provide support for the sub-specialty administrative staff and ensure compliance with all ACGME requirements. Work closely with the medical student coordinator to provide knowledge and support of the COM medical student education curriculum for students rotating in the Department of Radiology. Work within OurDay to review/monitor and approve work and leave hours.

Clinical Competency Committee (CCC):
Updating individual resident dashboards with links for review twice a year by the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), keeping SALP form updated, tracking completion of all requirements, updating throughout the year when certain exams and tests are taken, pulling and/or linking documents prior to each CCC meeting (RadExam reports, lecture attendance, US logs, MedHub logs, SALPs, updated CVs, MedHub milestone levels, etc.)

Administrative Support to Program Director:
Provide strong administrative support for core program director, sub-specialty directors as needed, in all areas of graduate medical education for the Department of Radiology Residency Programs.

GME liaison for the Department of Radiology
Serves as program liaison to the Graduate Medical Office for the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science by managing assigned programs. Attend all GMEC director/coordinator meetings.

Serve as backup for Radiology Education Website
Review education website content bi-annually and continue to train on website management software as training and updated becomes available.
Weight: 5%
Complete any additional tasks / assignments as requested by program and department management to ensure continued compliance and accreditation.
