The Department of Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina is recruiting a tenure track scientist in basic, translational, or clinical research relating to Neurological diseases. We are looking for a talented investigator who will be able to actively contribute to our expanding portfolio or research and engage in our clinical mission. Areas of research focus should be on studying the cognitive effects of DBS. and developing new neuroimaging techniques like DBS-fMRI, as well as advanced functional and structural imaging approaches. MUSC is located in Charleston, SC a city noted for its historical, cultural and recreational attractions. Applicants must have PhD or equivalent and have demonstrated the ability for future potential to lead an independent research program with high likelihood of sustained extramural funding.
