Job Description

MUSC Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science and once year work experience directly related to the assigned research area.

Preferred Requirements:

Postdoctoral degree with work experience directly related to the assigned research area is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Administer designated drug compounds to murine models in accordance with approved protocols. 20%
• Monitor and document physiological and behavioral responses post-administration, including clinical observations and relevant assays.  20%
• Perform comprehensive analysis of drug efficacy and toxicity in vivo.  20%
• Design and execute in vitro experiments treating cell lines with the novel drug candidate to assess cellular responses, including viability, oxygen consumption rate, and molecular marker expression.  20%
• Maintain meticulous and organized records of all experimental procedures, data collection, and analytical results. 10%
• Collaborate closely with the Duncan lab research team to ensure alignment of methodologies and facilitate regular sharing of findings.  10%
