The Taniguchi Lab and colleagues (Drs. Berto, Cowan, and Strickland) are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will support cutting-edge research in single-cell multiomics, spatial transcriptomics, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, contributing to the investigation of neurodevelopmental disorders and genomic regulation in neural systems. Job Description
Job Duties:
35% - Under moderate to minimal supervision, lead single-cell multiomics and spatial transcriptomics experimental design and execute laboratory protocols, particularly with respect to single-cell RNA sequencing and other single-cell -omics techniques.
30% - Oversee and develop protocols for high-quality library preparation in single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, ensuring alignment with research goals and platform specifications, while maintaining rigorous data quality control and troubleshooting.
15% - Provide advanced support and expertise in single-cell and multiomics methodologies to lab members and affiliated research groups, including guidance on experimental setup, protocol optimization, and troubleshooting.
10% - Directly support technical workflows, collaborating with the research team to improve experimental efficiency and accuracy, including implementation of troubleshooting and protocol enhancements.
5% - Assist in drafting and supporting grant applications, as necessary, to advance single-cell and multiomics research initiatives.
5% - Perform additional responsibilities as required to further lab objectives and ensure seamless experimental and analytical operations.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent with two years postdoctorate experience.
