The Jiang Lab at the Medical University of South Carolina aims to understand the role of microbiome, inflammation, pathogenic autoantibody, and B cell dysfunction in human disease immunopathogenesis, HIV and SLE. The staff scientist will conduct HIV and SLE projects in the lab, train the lab members, and help run the lab.Entity

Job Description
Maintain lab routine work, and apply for lab safety documents (20%)
Conduct immunologic and molecular biologic experiments in human studies and collect and analyze data (30%)
Conduct immunologic and molecular biologic experiments (i.e., western, IF, qPCR) in animal studies and collect and analyze data (30%)
Refine and standardize existing experimental procedures and train new lab members. (20%)
MUSC Minimum Training and Experience
A Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent with two years postdoctorate experience.
