The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, is actively recruiting for a Statistical and Research Analyst II. This role will enter and manage data in the Endocrine Surgery clinical databases, assist in drafting and submission of clinical research protocols (to Protocol Review Committee/IRB/etc), assist in data analysis, and assist in drafting/writing/submission of abstracts, manuscripts, and grants.Entity

Job Description
Pay Range:
$33,339.00 - $47,509.00 - $61,680.00 (min - mid- max)
Job Duties:
35% - Collect/enter data into Endocrine Surgery clinical databases.
20% - Assist with clinical studies, which are sporadic and limited, including testing of new systems to be used intraoperatively.
20% - Assist in drafting/submission/maintenance of clinical research protocols: applications to MUSC Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and MUSC IRB, PRC and IRB progress reports and renewals, and others as needed.
10% - Update and maintain IRB protocols and research databases
5% - Assistance with data analysis for clinical research projects.
5% - Assistance with drafting/writing/submission of abstracts, manuscripts, and grants for clinical research projects.
5% - Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or clinical research preferred. A master’s degree would be helpful. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (SATA, SPSS, SAS, etc).

A high school diploma and two years work experience as a Statistical and Research Analyst I. A bachelor's degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses may be substituted for the required work experience.
