Are current nursing students eligible for applying to certified medical assistant positions?

I am finishing fundamentals this semester, will have completed a full clinical rotation, and am interested in getting more experience before second semester. Was wondering if I'm eligible to apply to CMA opening without a official certification?

    Unfortunately you must meet all minimum job requirements in order to apply for a position, and for CMA's, this does include the required certification. However, as a nursing student, you may apply for Patient Care Techs, Student Techs, Patient Safety Companions and any other positions in which you meet the minimum qualifications. Thank you
