The importance of providing canine therapy to our clinical staff. #pawsdown After an eight month furlough, visitation to care team members became a high priority. Nurses, doctors and hospital administrators benefited from the support of these animals. Anxiety, stress, fear and loneliness subsided substantially when in their presence. The human-animal bond between our canine therapists and clinicians is indescribable. We are so grateful for all they do for so many and how much they incorporate these dogs in a patient's healing process every day. It is one of our missions to share tail-wagging happiness with them daily - we're changing what's possible in health care one tail wag at a time!
