Although I have remained in Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant for the entirety of my career, I have been in so many different roles and worked with many different teams where I have learned so much. Having this opportunity to help lead a great group of nurses, medical assistance, and administrative staff truly fills me with gratitude. Having support from your direct leader is pivotal in progressing your career as a nurse. I have been blessed to have had several great leaders and mentors who helped shape me into the nurse I am today. Here at MUSC there are several avenues to learn, grow and advance. From financial support for going back to school, climbing the clinical ladder, or transitioning to other nursing roles; there are many ways in which MUSC provides support and opportunity.
In my experience, the people at MUSC Health are very supportive in career progression. I am currently working full time for MUSC Health and I am a full time MHA student at MUSC. Through this journey I have received nothing short of encouragement and excitement of furthering my knowledge and career goals from my work peers. In my opinion, the key to career progression, is to work hard and have the confidence to take a chance on yourself when presented with an opportunity of advancement. MUSC is an organization that will support you in career advancement!
Thank you
