Earlene P. asked a question to Jason S.
Hey Jason! Great question. A CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) are two different certifications in the medical field. A CMA has additional qualifications that allow them to perform higher job duties than a CNA under the supervision of an RN/LPN. If you were to apply for a CMA position without that particular certification, I am not sure your application would be taken into consideration.
