About Crystal A.

Current position
I have been an Ultrasound Technologist here at MUSC for 11 years. I'm considered a lead technologist responsible for training new employees and ultrasound students. I have a passion for scanning and teaching. Currently, I am the interim ultrasound supervisor.
Top advice
Ultrasound is a skill that takes time to develop. It's important to scan as much as possible. Be open to constructive feedback, see it as an opportunity to excel rather than a negative. Be open about the way you learn best and if a style of training is not working for you speak up so changes can be made.
Greatest achievement
My greatest career achievement has been learning and refining my ultrasound skills to become trusted by my patients, fellow team members and radiologists.
