Job Description Summary

The Accountant, Cash and Accounts Receivable Valuation will report directly to the Cash and Accounts Receivable Valuation Manager. This position requires the ability to analyze multiple aspects of restricted cash and net position, restricted and unrestricted investments, net asset reconciliation and reconciliation of other ancillary accounts associated with patient AR, such as review of transactions in unapplied accounts, suspense, returned checks and grant payments on a monthly and annual basis.

Job Description

The Accountant, Cash and Accounts Receivable Valuation will report directly to the Cash and Accounts Receivable Valuation Manager. This position requires the ability to analyze multiple aspects of restricted cash and net position, restricted and unrestricted investments, net asset reconciliation and reconciliation of other ancillary accounts associated with patient AR, such as review of transactions in unapplied accounts, suspense, returned checks and grant payments on a monthly and annual basis.

 

Additional Job Description

A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and zero (0) – two (2) years work experience in a business-related field such as accounting, business, audit or finance.  Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills’ ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Outlook software; Microsoft Power Point and Adobe Acrobat software is a plus. 

Preferred:  A bachelor’s degree in accounting with hospital/healthcare based work experience; MBA, MHA, CHFP, or CPA designation a plus.
