Job Summary
Provides operational and clinical leadership for the Cardiology service line, including Cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. Responsible for the day-to-day management, long-term planning, quality outcomes, financial performance, and regulatory compliance of assigned areas. Collaborates closely with physicians, service line leadership, nursing, and ancillary departments to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. Serves as the designated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Coordinator, ensuring compliance with American College of Cardiology (ACC) regulatory and accreditation standards, including accreditation readiness activities and maintenance of accurate Cath Lab website content.

Work Environment
Works in both office and clinical environments. Regular exposure to patient care settings with potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens and emergency or crisis situations. May require irregular hours and on-call responsibilities based on departmental needs.

Mental Requirements
Able to read, analyze, and interpret complex clinical or business journals, financial reports or legal document and respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, staff and members of the business community; write persuasive correspondence, effectively present information to top management, able to perform complex math functions to include calculating percentages, averages, volume, ratio and interpreting graphs; define problems, collect data, establish facts, valid conclusions; deal with concrete and abstract concepts and interpret verbal, nonverbal and written instructions.
Population Served
This position primarily interacts with adults and aging adults and provides direct patient care. All staff members must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to meet the physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related needs of the persons in the assigned work area.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
2. Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams.
3. Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.
4. Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors.
5. Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as to perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions.
6. Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations.
7. Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility.
8. Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
