Job Description Summary

Job Summary

Monitors PM program, work orders and projects. Advises management of the status of deficiencies or potential problems with facility or equipment. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to deal with concrete and abstract concepts and interpret verbal, nonverbal and written instructions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience. 5 years of plant management and/or related experience in a healthcare environment required.

Preferred Qualifications: Building Code, National Fire Code, Joint Commission Education and/or certification in a related field preferred. Must possess to ability to read and interpret business or safety manuals, clinical or technical procedures or regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence and/or manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, patients, other employees and medical staff. Must possess the ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) using numbers, money and units of measure.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements are primarily related to the essential functions of any job. In order to perform the essential functions of this position you must be able to walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, talk, hear and smell. Must be able to lift or exert force up to 10 pounds 25% of the time and up to 25 pounds 50% of the time and up to 50 pounds 25% of the time. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish

colors), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances) and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus) is required.

Responsibilities:

25%- Prepares schedules for team by coordinating staff, equipment and other resources needed. Maintains appropriate communication between departments and management; verifies resources are available and provides technical training to staff as appropriate.

25%- Coordinates work and resources in accordance with applicable standards and department priorities. Assists management in the establishment of work objectives, presents at various local Orangeburg committees as appropriate.

20%- Monitors PM program, work orders and support for capital and large operational projects.  Works collaboratively with the Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure data and documentation is accurate and readily available.

15%- Advises management on the status of repairs and minor project development, deficiencies or potential problems with facility or equipment.

15%- Provides technical support and assistance for technicians as appropriate; verifies appropriate staff competence, monitors and manages contract vendors in support of critical repairs.

Additional Job Description
