MUSC Health – Kershaw Medical Center is seeking a motivated and team-oriented Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Orthopedic program. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative orthopedic team focused on delivering exceptional inpatient and outpatient musculoskeletal care in a community centered environment.
As an Orthopedic Surgery APP, you will play a vital role in caring for orthopedic patients across both the hospital and clinic settings, supporting inpatient rounding, consults, admissions, discharges, perioperative care, and outpatient follow-up management. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams while providing seamless patient care throughout the surgical and recovery process, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient experience, and professional development.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Orthopedic, surgical, hospital medicine, or acute care experience preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills
Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care
Position Highlights:
Manage orthopedic inpatients in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and hospital teams
Conduct daily rounding, patient evaluations, admissions, consultations, and discharges
Assist with perioperative care coordination and postoperative management
Support orthopedic surgical workflows and continuity of care across inpatient services
Participate in patient and family education to optimize recovery and outcomes
Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, case management, and ancillary teams
Contribute to a culture centered on teamwork, efficiency, and patient-centered care
