Job Description Summary

Reporting to the System Director of Case Management, the Program Manager, Health I – Contract Reimbursement & Payment Integrity oversees and manages the contract reimbursement and payment integrity functions within our healthcare system. This role will focus on ensuring accurate invoicing, service delivery, and timely reimbursement for Nursing Home Medicaid pending cases, Modivcare, and post-acute care service reimbursements for System Case Management. As these areas grow increasingly complex, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the reimbursement processes. This role will serve as an associate to Case Management leaders across the system to organize, track, and follow up on efficiencies related to cost savings, including but not limited to tracking of payor authorizations, division spend on throughput needs – DME, transportation, pharmacy, etc.

Job Summary/Purpose: Reporting to the System Director of Case Management, the Program Manager, Health I – Contract Reimbursement & Payment Integrity oversees and manages the contract reimbursement and payment integrity functions within our healthcare system. This role will focus on ensuring accurate invoicing, service delivery, and timely reimbursement for Nursing Home Medicaid pending cases, Modivcare, and post-acute care service reimbursements for System Case Management. As these areas grow increasingly complex, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the reimbursement processes. This role will serve as an associate to Case Management leaders across the system to organize, track, and follow up on efficiencies related to cost savings, including but not limited to tracking of payor authorizations, division spend on throughput needs – DME, transportation, pharmacy, etc. 

Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Two years of experience in a large healthcare organization or academic medical center reimbursement, billing, or payment integrity roles, preferably in acute care or managed care environments. Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare organization or health insurance industry.

Advanced knowledge of computer systems and ability to effectively utilize software applications including Excel spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft calendar and email. Experience in a MS Windows PC environment is preferred. Professional demeanor and ability to handle challenging communications when necessary and communicate complex concepts (written and verbal). Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Attention to the language and rate details in contracts. Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks. Ability to track, edit and monitor complex contracts. Ability to work across organizations, develop relationships, promote teamwork and represent physicians and hospital interests.
