Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering compassionate, expert care to our tiniest patients? Join our Special Care Stork Unit and be part of a team where every heartbeat counts and every day brings a new miracle.

PRN Status Clause:

PRN / “as-needed” means you are not guaranteed a fixed schedule or hours. You work when they have needs in the schedule. You must be available to work at least 12 hours every two weeks (bi-weekly minimum), as specified in your PRN Commitment Agreement. Your actual hours will depend on department needs, not a set schedule. You may be asked to pick up extra shifts to cover gaps (like call-outs or shortages).  Your total hours can go up or down—some weeks you might work more, some less.

Experience: Previous stork Unit and Level II Nursery experience is required.

What You’ll Do: As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Stork Unit, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, safe, and loving care to newborns who need a little extra support. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate and guide families through some of the most precious moments of their lives, and provide a steady hand and heart when it matters most.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Nursing degree is preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
