Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines. This position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families.
Additional Job Description
Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination. Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of processes. Applicant must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Basic computer skills required. Employee must be certified and be able to maintain a certification in sterile processing from CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution). Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure health care environment required. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Detail oriented required. Travel may be required. Holiday work and emergency management/disaster team work required.
