Job Description Summary

The DHLM Field Marketing, Employer, & Partnership Development Manager is a faculty role within the Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management (DHLM) within the MUSC College of Health Professions. This position blends healthcare-focused recruitment, employer engagement, and instruction in experiential education initiatives.

The individual will develop and implement strategic recruitment plans, cultivate partnerships with healthcare employers, and lead experiential learning initiatives that prepare learners for success in healthcare leadership and management careers. This role is vital to DHLM’s mission of advancing the healthcare workforce and ensuring strong enrollment in our portfolio of academic degree and training programs. This role is remote and requires extensive travel.

Job Description

Strategic Recruitment & Outreach (40%)

  • Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to increase enrollment in DHLM’s academic degree and training programs.
  • Set annual lead generation targets and measure progress quarterly.
  • Identify and engage with 20+ strategic partners annually, including health systems, healthcare professional associations, and continuing education providers.
  • Track and analyze prospective student engagement, adjusting lead generation strategies accordingly.
  • Implement at least two new outreach initiatives per year to reach targeted student populations.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual presentations tailored to adult learners, highlighting flexible healthcare academic pathways, career advancement, and employer-aligned outcomes.

Territory & Relationship Management (25%)

  • Manage an extensive geographic territory across South Carolina, ensuring recruitment efforts are efficiently allocated to maximize healthcare impact.
  • Conduct monthly territory performance reviews to assess engagement and effectiveness.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with HR leaders, workforce development coordinators, and healthcare continuing education professionals to drive referrals.
  • Develop a travel schedule that maximizes healthcare employer touchpoints while maintaining cost-efficiency.
  • Achieve a quarterly lead generation goal as defined by program enrollment needs.
  • Ensure that 80% of prospective student inquiries receive responses within 48 hours.
  • Organize and participate in faculty, current student, and alumni events surrounding recruitment.

Marketing Support & Recruitment Events (10%)

  • Plan, execute, and oversee 12–15 high-impact healthcare recruitment activities per month, such as lunch-and-learns, community workshops, or partner events.
  • Aim for an attendance rate of 75% at scheduled recruitment events.
  • Track lead-to-application conversion rates, aiming for at least 20% conversion per event.
  • Collaborate with the CHP Marketing team to design and implement healthcare-targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Attend major local, regional, and national healthcare conferences annually (e.g., ACHE, MGMA, HIMSS).

Digital Engagement & Data Analytics (15%)

  • Use social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) for personal outreach and engagement with prospective students and healthcare partner organizations. Post at least three targeted recruitment messages per week.
  • Support the Department of Healthcare Leadership & Management LinkedIn page in healthcare content development and recruitment messaging.
  • Engage with at least 10 student inquiries via social media monthly.
  • Track and analyze recruitment KPIs, using data insights to refine strategies.
  • Ensure 95% of inquiries are logged within 48 hours.

Leadership & Collaboration (10%)

  • Collaborate with the inbound recruitment team to ensure a seamless healthcare recruitment-to-enrollment process.
  • Present recruitment performance data and strategy adjustments in at least two executive or departmental leadership meetings per year.
  • Partner with DHLM faculty to integrate and expand experiential education and healthcare employer engagement in academic programming.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, higher education, or related field.
  • Experience in marketing, sales/business development, workforce development, employer engagement, recruitment, and/or field marketing.
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain partnerships with organizations and networks.

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching or mentoring students in higher education.
  • Knowledge of healthcare workforce trends and experiential learning models.
  • CRM and data analytics proficiency.
