Job Description Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at MUSC is seeking a highly motivated neurosurgical anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the perioperative care of complex neurosurgical patients, contribute to the advancement of academic anesthesia, and support institutional missions in clinical excellence, education, and research. The neurosurgical anesthesiologist will provide expert anesthetic care for patients undergoing a broad range of neurosurgical procedures, including intracranial, spine, and interventional neuroradiology cases, in both operating room and non-operating room settings. The role includes active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize perioperative outcomes for complex neurologic patients. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the position involves teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows through didactic sessions, and bedside instruction. The faculty member is also expected to contribute to scholarly activities, including clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, or educational innovation, in alignment with departmental and institutional academic missions. Fellowship training is not required but strongly recommended.Entity
