"Starting my nursing career at MUSC has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I am forever grateful that I was able to begin my journey in the CTICU, surrounded by a team that truly feels like family. I moved to Charleston after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2025 and I didn’t know a single person here. From the very first day, I was welcomed into the MUSC family with open arms.
The support, mentorship, and camaraderie I’ve found here have shaped me into the nurse I am today. I’ve built friendships that I know will last a lifetime, and I still get excited to come to work every day. It’s easy to love what you do when you get to do it alongside your best friends.
MUSC isn’t just where I started my career, it’s where I found my people, my confidence, and my passion for critical care nursing."

Yes, but we have limited positions available for new graduates. Please note that applications for ICU positions will close early (January 14 as opposed to February 11).
We encourage new graduates to gain experience in acute or intermediate care units prior to transitioning to the ICU. Another option is joining the Meduflex float pool, where you rotate to various acute care units.
Input your BLS information and/or CPR certification in this field instead.
We understand that you're not officially licensed yet, but this is a question that is required in the application.
