Working for an academic medical center has the added benefit of purposeful work where you get to do something for the good of the community and patients. I would have to say the people! MUSC provides a family feel to the environment. I always tell people that we really are a big family because we laugh and cry together. I really do love coming to work every day because of the people and the care we provide. As an academic center and a Level 1 trauma center, we are on the cutting edge of everything. It truly is amazing.
