Job Description Summary

The Senior Director Digital Strategy & Operations reports directly to the Chief Digital Transformation Officer (CDTO) and will assist the CDTO in defining digital strategy that supports the MUSC’s academic, research and healthcare missions. Keeping the patient and end user at the forefront, s/he will align business and technical needs, manage and prioritize roadmaps, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives such as new features or experiments and tests, manage risks, and determine rollout strategy with go-to-operational/clinical or educational teams.

With the CDTO collaborate with information technology to identify and select vendors and partners to support the build-out of digital solutions and digital platform strategy whenever necessary. S/he will collaborate with key stakeholders across MUSC to define, align, and execute our digital solutions and platform strategies that work seamlessly with MUSC’s overall technology ecosystem. S/he is the ultimate subject matter expert on building digital products and experiences with digital health solutions. S/he will be instrumental in helping MUSC achieve its digital transformation mission to innovate and disrupt the way patients engage in their care, clinicians deliver care and how educators deliver knowledge.

Job Description

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • ​BS Degree in a quantitative discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience required or MS with 6+ years health care experience in a provider setting highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering technical/digital solutions with complex business needs preferred
  • Ability to distill complex topics and ideas down to simple comprehensible terms
  • Strong business analysis experience translating business needs into technical specifications
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle in an Agile development environment
  • Solid understanding of API development and management tools
  • Ability to provide continuous integration, automated builds, automated deployment, and environment management
  • Experience collaborating with multiple functional and technical teams including partners, stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to deliver results
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address complex business problems
  • Knowledge of Epic platforms features and workflows is preferred.
