How does the radiology team collaborate with other departments?
Radiology collaborates with other departments to reach a common goal of providing the best patient care. For example, the MRI team collaborates with anesthesia and nursing for sedation patients.
How is patient volume distributed throughout the day or week?
Radiology is a valuable part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. We play a valuable role in patient diagnosis and treatment.
For Nuclear Medicine/PETCT, you will need the NMTCB or ARRT license in Nuclear Medicine. You will also need an X-ray or CT license to operate our PETCT and SPECT/CT scanners. You will also need to be certified in South Carolina.
Patient volumes may vary depending on the time of year in the Adult Diagnostic area. Volumes can increase during flu and cold season, and we tend to see more traumas and accidents during the summer vacation seasons.

Ok great.
We typically do 1- 2 rounds of interviews depending on the position. The phone screening call helps determine what that will look like. Occasionally we offer virtual interviews for candidates who live out of state. The hiring manager is the one that contacts the candidate to coordinate the interviews.
For MUSC physicians for the radiologic technologist positions there are no on call shifts. The shifts are typically 5-8s or 4-10s Monday-Friday.
